From Kashgar to Camden

Exhibition of Akbar Mijit

Akbar Mijit was born in Kashgar, an ancient city on the Silk Road in the area now known as the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region of China. As an artist, he was inspired by the vibrant colours and richness of the landscape of his homeland and his dramatic oil paintings express his love of his people and their culture.
